The Kingdom – Lesson 4

Big Idea

Kingdom righteous goes deeper than rule-keeping. Jesus showed the way to true righteousness—one that springs from a heart that is reconciled to God and seeks reconciliation with others. Jesus refused the way of anger and violence and opened the door for us to follow His example as peacemakers.

Application / Reflection

1) Think of people who are devalued in our world. How did Jesus treat outcasts differently? How can we?

2) In what ways is reconciliation better than trying to prove that you are right, or trying to win a fight?

3) What are some places in your heart that need to be reconciled and receive grace so that you can live out the call to be an agent of reconciliation?
