Samuel had a powerful ministry. He was the answered prayer of a praying mom, Hannah. His ministry emerged on the heels of the failed ministries of Eli and his two sons Hophni and Phinehas. Samuel was not placed in the perfect environment. His environment was contradictory to his calling. He was in the midst of adversity, temptation, greed, power and discontent.
