The Kingdom – Lesson 8
Big Idea
Jesus’ teaching on Kingdom heart issues and prayer leads naturally to a presentation of Kingdom values. A grace-infused relationship with Jesus makes the Kingdom value of trust possible. The call to trust the King confronts 21st-century hearers just as it did for the first hearers. Trust radically differentiates disciples from the crowd as they surrender to the Kingdom mission.
Application / Reflection
1) What do you worry about? How might a vision of a caring Creator change the way you think and feel about those things?
2) How much energy do you devote to acquiring life’s necessities? What about luxuries? What do your time and money priorities say about your faith and trust in the King?
3) What Kingdom-seeking steps are in front of you right now? How might other believers help you trust in the King and prioritize His Kingdom?
